OrphanAct is a Rotary based, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and 100% of all donation fund projects.

What is OrphanAct's mission?

OrphanAct provides on-going supplemental aid to orphanages, homeless children's shelters, hospitals for abandoned babies, and other facilities for children-in-need.

How does OrphanAct accomplish its mission?

We start with an in-country Rotary club in one of the four countries participating in the OrphanAct Program that has an on-going relationship with a children's facility.  Then we create an OrphanAct Children's Action Team (CAT) to facilitate projects with the incountry club and target facility.  Each CAT plans projects with the facility and raises funds to pay for the projects. frontdoor

How does OrphanAct fund project work?

  • Each donor organization (or individual donor) pays $300 to be a Facility Sponsor which allows them to have a representative on the CAT and that money is used for projects that directly affect the lives of the children.
  • In addition, OrphanAct lists Available Rotary Projects from participating clubs on each country's website.
  • You also have the choice of donating funds to a specific children's facility and the CAT linked to that facility will use those funds to help finance a project.
  • Finally, CATs help in-country Rotary clubs design and finance Rotary Matching Grant projects for facilities.
